The UAE Government realises the importance of deploying artificial intelligence and its positive implication towards revolutionising the mode of delivery of services. The Government is very much working towards accelerating the pace of AI adoption through strategic partnerships with both the public and private sectors.
What is Generative AI?
Generative AI refers to a subset of artificial intelligence that involves training machines to generate new and original data, such as images, music, text and videos. Unlike traditional AI, which operates on pre-existing datasets to recognise patterns and make predictions, Generative AI can produce entirely new content by learning from existing datasets and generating something new based on that information.
This technology has various applications, such as in art and design, content creation and even the development of chatbots and virtual assistants.
The UAE’s guide on Generative AI
Keen to keep abreast of the emerging technologies and leverage Generative artificial intelligence in diverse fields such as education, healthcare, media, advanced sciences, and more, the UAE launched the ‘Generative AI’ guide (PDF, 7.65 MB) on the utilisation of Generative AI applications.
The guide provides a comprehensive description of Generative AI. It explores the challenges and opportunities of various digital technologies and recommends the best approaches for effectively managing them. It emphasises the importance of data privacy and explains ways of leveraging these technologies.
It will enable government entities leverage the benefits of AI technologies and enhance its implementation across various fields. It will also empower the community with the best digital solutions to augment the deployment of advanced technology in diverse areas.
It showcases 100 use-cases and applications of Generative AI for new business owners, students, fresh graduates, job seekers, new employees and anybody interested in trying out AI practically. The guide includes:
It presents the implementation of several language-based tasks that facilitate the development of healthcare, education and transportation services. The adoption of ChatGPT can be readily integrated, exemplifying the UAE's efforts to design and establish policies and regulations that align with future approaches.
The guide shows the potential of using Generative AI to give information on government services and streamlining them for the public. These applications can automate customer service queries, improving response times and efficiency.
