Smart Mission

The Smart Mission project enables customers to benefit from proactive consular services. It uses facial recognition technology and facilitates direct interactions through 3D and hologram technologies.

The project comprises several services including:

Return document issuance
Personal and commercial document authentication
‘To Whom It May Concern’ certificates.

Through the project, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) aims to provide Emiratis with a simple and comprehensive service process at the country’s embassies abroad, in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.

AI-driven customer service: The Smart Mission incorporates AI-powered holograms to assist customers and provide instant and accurate responses to customer queries.
Predictive analytics for proactive governance: The initiative employs data analytics to identify patterns and trends in consular operations, allowing for more informed decision-making and resource allocation. This enables the ministry to anticipate and respond to potential issues and challenges.
Smart infrastructure: The Smart Mission promotes the development of sustainable infrastructure, with 3D printed components, energy-efficient systems, and IoT-enabled devices, which contribute to overall sustainability.
