The Arabic Language Award, launched by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2014, aims to encourage exceptional contributions in serving the Arabic language and honouring its patrons, along with highlighting successful and outstanding experiences in disseminating and educating the public about the Arabic language.
The Dubai International Holy Quran Award was established in 1997. It is given annually to achievers in Quranic competitions, recitations and progammes from all over the Muslim world, as well as to distinguished individuals and institutions that served Muslims.
In 2006, the Emirates Appreciation Award for Science, Arts and Literature were launched to stimulate the intellectual, cultural and creative people in the UAE, to honour them for their contribution and motivate the younger generations to improve their knowledge of science, arts and literature.

The Patrons of the Arts Awards were launched in 2009 to honour and recognise individuals, businesses, organisations and government entities that have demonstrated financial and in-kind contributions towards arts in Dubai, with sustained support and promotion of artistic activity.
The Sharjah Award for Arab Photo was launched in 2010 aiming to honour the Arab photographers who contribute and enrich the Arab photography scene globally, with valuable photographs that reflect the Arab region.
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award was announced in 2006. It is presented annually to outstanding writers, intellectuals and publishers, as well as young talent whose writing and translation enriches the Arab intellectual, cultural, literary and social life.
