The ‘Digital Procurement Policy’ (in Arabic, PDF, 722 KB) of Ministry of Finance (MoF) establishes guidelines, controls and standards for federal government procurement operations. Its primary focus is on engaging all relevant stakeholders and participants in the procurement of products and services in federal entities, and ensuring efficient execution of these operations to guarantee quality, cost-effectiveness and transparency.
It also seeks to reinforce the role of the procurement units, enabling them to provide support to organisational units that request high-quality products or services through the ‘Digital Procurement System’. The UAE Cabinet, in consultation with MoF, holds the authority to add or remove federal entities from the scope of this policy, as they deem necessary.
