January 4, 2020 Charter was declared by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on 4 January 2020, the day he completed 14 years of service as the Ruler of Dubai.

As per the Charter, a new body named ‘Dubai Council’ will be established to lead the change in the emirate and ensure its global competitiveness, economic leadership and attractiveness to become among the best cities in the world. The Dubai Council will map out the vision of Dubai for the next 50 years.
