To enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi from within the UAE, you are no longer required to show green status in the Al Hosn app. Moreover, EDE scanners used to detect potential COVID-19 cases will be withdrawn from entry points from 28 February 2022.
Note: Green pass is still required to enter public places in Abu Dhabi.
To enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi from within the UAE, vaccinated people are required to show green status in the Al Hosn app. Meanwhile, unvaccinated individuals are required to present a negative result of an RT-PCR test conducted within 96 hours before entry.
Additionally, EDE scanners will be used at entry points to detect potential COVID-19 cases rapidly.

EDE is an advanced technology that uses a mobile scanning device to detect potential COVID-19 cases rapidly. The system does not store personal information. Abu Dhabi Government has cancelled the previous requirement of COVID-19 testing, for people to enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi from within the UAE. The decision is effective from 19 September 2021. Refer to Abu Dhabi Government Media Office about this update.
