Field supervisory visits enhance communication and stimulate the work environment

One of the key features of the work environment at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security is the effective communication between senior leadership and supervisory levels, as well as across the different organizational levels within the Authority. The importance of this communication stems from it being a strategic approach implemented according to an annual and periodic plan to supervise work sites, service centers, and border ports. This ensures that operations proceed according to the planned framework and that services are provided to customers around the clock (24/7) according to the highest standards of quality and excellence, in line with the UAE Government's Promise for Future Services.

In this context, various work sites, ports, and departments affiliated with the Authority across the country witnessed a range of visits by Their Excellencies the Director Generals and Executive Directors during the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday. These visits included several prominent airports, seaports, border crossings, and service centers such as, but not limited to, Zayed, Sharjah, and Al Ain international airports; Khalifa, Fujairah, and Khalid ports; the Ghuwaifat, Khatm Al Shakla, Khatm Melaha, and Mezyad border crossings; and customer happiness centers at Zayed Airport, Mussafah, Khalifa, Al Maamoura in Ras Al Khaimah, Sakamkam in Fujairah, as well as several other service centers and ports in various emirates.

These visits have a highly positive impact on the work environment as they contribute to effective communication between leadership and the various organizational units, continuous follow-up on development initiatives, identification of challenges facing the implementation of initiatives and projects, and the development of corrective plans that support achieving strategic goals. Additionally, they provide a platform for listening to employees' insights and suggestions for improving the work environment and involve them in social and religious occasions and events that help boost morale and inspire motivation and energy.
