Year after year, UAE Customs continues to achieve remarkable milestones in the field of customs operations, community security, and trade facilitation-thanks to the support of wise leadership, the availability of a forward-looking strategic vision, and a cadre of national professionals capable of creativity and innovation.

In 2024 alone, UAE Customs successfully carried out approximately 40 million customs transactions, marking a 49% growth compared to the previous year. Additionally, around 276,000 customs inspection operations were conducted, resulting in 15,866 customs seizures throughout the year. The authority also achieved 100% compliance with customs procedures and implemented 15 major customs projects, over 90% of which have been completed to fulfill the requirements of the Gulf Customs Union.

One of the most notable forward-looking projects currently underway is the "UAE Customs Platform"-a transformative initiative that consolidates various customs systems into a unified platform. Leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, the platform enables real-time collaboration and instant data exchange between customs departments, contributing to faster decision-making and improved operational performance.

These achievements highlight the strategic role of UAE Customs within the broader government framework of the UAE. The authority significantly contributes to enhancing quality of life by protecting the community from potential trade-related threats, managing customs risks, combating smuggling of prohibited goods and hazardous materials, fighting money laundering and terrorism financing, and strengthening international cooperation.
