The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat (AWQAF) has inaugurated its annual summer program, "Our Mosques: A Safe Haven of Faith," for the year 2026. Operating under the inspiring theme "Our Summer: Knowledge and Happiness" from July 13 to August 13, the program introduces visionary concepts designed to revitalize the mosque's role as a beacon of enlightenment and communal solidarity. Aligning perfectly with the objectives of the "Year of the Family," the initiative seeks to fortify family bonds and champion their vital role in nurturing future generations. Through a comprehensive suite of intellectual, awareness-driven, and educational activities, the program transforms the summer break into an opportunity to instill Islamic and patriotic values while cementing the Emirati identity. The curriculum features 14 distinctive initiatives, ranging from religious lectures and Quranic memorization circles to dedicated family and national projects. Furthermore, it aims to scout homegrown Emirati talents in Quranic recitation, public speaking, and religious media, while hosting specialized workshops to empower religious professionals in harnessing Artificial Intelligence within their spheres. Additionally, the program will launch an awareness campaign regarding Date Zakat and establish a dedicated endowment to ensure the long-term sustainability of the innovative community and religious ventures born from this program.
