 His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, issued Federal Decree Law No. 20 of 2022 on the Regulation of Private Notary Profession. This law introduces private notary licensing and conditions for practicing the profession. The new legislation brings a variety of advantages, including the enhancement of the local workforce, alignment with the Federal Government's strategic vision to boost Emiratization rates, promotion of competition between the private and public sectors, offering of increased options for customers, and the opportunity for qualified professionals to deliver notary public services through nationally licensed notaries in their private offices, available 24/7. The Ministry of Justice has initiated the registration process for individuals interested in pursuing this career, allowing them to apply for licenses via its digital platforms
