SunTastic initiative
Consultation Topic:
As part of the national direction toward sustainability and energy conservation, the National Energy Conservation Campaign seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of reducing electricity consumption. This is achieved by educating community members about available solutions for energy efficiency. Among the most effective of these solutions is the adoption and installation of solar energy systems, which individuals can implement in their homes or private facilities to significantly reduce energy consumption and support the sustainability of resources.
This survey aims to assess public awareness of solar energy systems as a solution for reducing electricity consumption, as well as to measure the community's readiness to adopt this solution and their level of understanding of its expected impact on lowering electricity use.
Objective of the Consultation:
- To assess the level of community awareness of the use of solar energy systems as a way of reducing electricity consumption.
- To measure the community's level of awareness and understanding of the expected impact of reducing electricity consumption.
Expected Decisions:
The results of the survey, conducted by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, are expected to demonstrate a positive impact of using solar energy systems in reducing electricity consumption among individuals and facilities, with variations in savings depending on the size of the installed systems and different consumption patterns. The findings are also expected to reflect a high level of awareness of the importance of solar energy as one of the key solutions supporting sustainability and the conservation of natural resources, in addition to a noticeable tendency among a number of participants to expand the use of these systems in the future. This would contribute to supporting national directions toward greater reliance on renewable energy sources and the rationalization of energy consumption over the long term.
