The UAE’s excellence in various sectors and fields has become its very hallmark. The way of life and work that is being promoted by its society and institutions makes the UAE the most future-ready country; a global incubator for future industries and their applications; as well as a source of ideas and creative experiences that improve the quality of human lives.

The UAE has adopted a holistic and time-bound approach to development, believing that the future starts today, not tomorrow. The country has embraced the vision of its wise leadership and is following a path that leads to a future of happiness, prosperity, stability and sustainable development for present and future generations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, once said: “The future is not something we wait for, but something we make. We look ahead to the future and predict and shape it by being proactive innovators and by employing future technologies to bring about development and growth and build a knowledge-based economy.”

In the framework of the preparations for the future, the UAE Cabinet adopted the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 in April 2019 as part of a proactive and clear strategy through which the country’s wise leadership has committed itself to enhancing  competitiveness in all vital areas, and providing everything needed to improve the lifestyle of people and achieve their happiness.

Before the adoption of the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, the National Space Programme was conceived to build capabilities of Emirati nationals in airspace sciences, with a vision to reach Mars by 2021 and build the first settlement there by 2071. This will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE continues to scale new heights everyday by advancing into new stages of excellence and development through comprehensive projects, well-defined strategies, perseverance and determination to be a pioneer in realizing the aspirations of its people and ensuring a better future for its generations to come.
